I am running a workshop on the 19th of April for Painterly Woodcuts, its is limited to 6 people. It has proved SO popular that it filled in 1 day so I am also going to run the same workshop a week earlier on SUNDAY THE 12TH OF APRIL the same information applies as on the poster, just the dates changed. love to see you there,

First Impressions Art Exhibition 2015

these two works were selected for the Mairangi Bay Arts Centre "First Impressions" Exhibition 2015
The exhibition is on from March the 4th to March 28th.
the selectors were Mark Graver, Struan Hamilton, Steve Lovett and Dr Carole Shepheard ( Judge)

Oamaru Mixed Media Printmaking Workshop

I had a fantastic time teaching at Kim Brashes Blue Fantail Studio which is situated in the North Otago Art  Society premises, the historic Custom House building. I was so pleased to be invited to teach there and have the opportunity to spend some time in beautiful Oamaru.

 

 The studio space was great to work in and all of those on the mixed media printmaking course worked incredibly hard and produced fabulous work. Here's just some of the results.

feeling pretty excited, just finished packing my bag and flying off to Dunedin midday to take a workshop in Oamaru. haven't been there for a long time and I do hear its a pretty neat place. will post some pics later in the week

East Exhibition 2015

Well actually East has come, I was fortunate to be selected again for this biennial exhibition, which showcases artists who have an affiliation with Hawkes Bay. the curator was Lynda Tyler. There was a great opening on Friday evening with lots of beautiful work, the exhibition is on at the Hastings City Art Gallery until February 2015 so if you are around take time to visit it, I am sure you will enjoy.

Waiprint Exhibition

I have just returned from Hamilton where I was guest artist for the Hamilton printmakers annual show.
It was a great exhibition covering a wide range of printmaking techniques, it was an honour to be part of the show. Thank you WaiPrint for asking me to be part of  it.

Had a very enjoyable day on Saturday teaching a workshop " Recycled Relics"
where the lovely Keirunga  Printmakers produced some fabulous work.
